200,000 high net worth San Diego residents, subscribers of San Diego Magazine and 10,000 financial service professionals were surveyed by mail and phone to comprise the data. Participants were asked to evaluate up to three wealth managers they knew through personal experience and who they believed provided them the best client satisfaction. Criteria included customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, whether the manager meets client financial objectives, post sale service, quality of recommendations and overall satisfaction. The results were reviewed by a third party research company who calculated that Coastwise succeeded as a top-scoring wealth manager.
